Hello,

It's OFF-TOPIC because I am not talking about CP/M but...

Please, anybody knows what system is the subject of the PDF document
found in this link?

http://maben.homeip.net/static/S100/software/unix/Z80%20uNIX%20Operating%20System.pdf

It's written by S. M. Walters, on 12 Jan 1982, and talks about a Z80
Unix Like Operating System.

If you see at document properties, you can read that was rescanned by
Marcus Bennett.

It's seems very interesting to me, but unfortunately, I can't find
anything else on the net.

Thanks and regards,

I'm not certain what that paper is talking about (my web browser says it
will take 8 hours to download it), but I have heard of UZI, a Unix
implementation for Z80. The Z280 version can be found at:

http://www.znode51.de/germany/uzi280/

I've never tried to do anything with it.

I also can't download that file. In addition to UZI, there were
Micronix by Morrow and Cromix by Cromemco.

I'm a few minutes away from finishing. I'm curious if it is
any different from what I have under
http://bitsavers.org/pdf/uNIX

from what I understand, uNIX was written by some ex Bell Labs
New Jersey people. there is a mention of a Z80 unix in Byte
April 82 page 417.

"Bell Laboratories even has a Z80
version that it is using inhouse."

I think I heard this from the person on eBay
that I bought the document from that I scanned.

now I remember.. the guy on eBay was selling multiple copies.
this other scan came from the same source (holes punched in the
same place) but it looks like it had more dropouts than my copy.
