I own an 1983 "Access" "transportable" computer. After all these years I
decided to fire it up. Guess what? It still works. I got it to boot up.
But I have forgotten all of the CP/M commands to make it do anything. Do
you know where I could get a basic manual for CP/M?

Ref: Access Matrix Computer- It's a big hunk of electronics with built
in epson printer and phone muff modem. It was marketed as portable in
that it would fit in a large suit case. It competed with the Osborne
Suite Case Computer.

Though I'm sure its not the most economical choice (considering that you might find
someone willing to give you one or sell you a used one cheap) you might try
www.amazon.com. I was browsing around there and I noticed some CP/M-86 books listed
as still being available. I figured their computer was screwy so I called their bluf
and ordered a book on CP/M-86 written by "Never-seen-a-Wintell-software/hardware-I-
didn't-like" Byte (magazine). Guess what? They actually sent me a brand new (or at
least unused) publisher sealed copy of the book! Certainly shocked me! Who knows what
else they have!

On the other hand, the quasi-offical source of old software & documentation:
Elliam Associates
805-466-8440
Almost certainly has some CP/M documentation.

Happy hunting!

Cordially,

Don't you have the Manuals that came with it!! The Actrix Access is/was a
VERY prized CP/M computer, with an MX-85 printer built into the top of it,
right? And its own terminal built right in!! DEFINITELY a keeper! Check the
www.cdrom.com or other Simtel archive sites mentioned in the CPM FAQ for
this group to find sources of good CP/M tutorials! But as I recall the
Actrix Access also had some of its own neat built-in features! Keep asking
on here and all over for the manuals!!

Yes, Asshole, It IS!! Re-read the founding fathers and the statesmen of
liberty, both historically, and on the High Court!! People really ARE
allowed to have an opinion, even HERE!! (Amazing what some buttfucks think
is "too much freedom"!!) If You DIDN'T GET to READ it, Moron!! Then we
wouldn't BE free!! Think about it!! HARD!!!
