Hi,

I was told, that in a CP/M usergroup exist the C source code
files for an CDP 1802 assembler.

Does anybody know, where I can find the sources?
Can the sources be ported to DOS or must I run a CP/M
emulator?

If the sources can not be ported, how can I compile them?

TIA, Stefan

Either the sources could be ported, or the CP/M binary
run under DOS with any of a large number of CP/M emulators
( at speeds much higher than any original CP/M machine).

But alas, I don't have the source.

However, using http://www.google.com
I score lots of hits on

"1802 assembler source code"

including

http://www.programmersheaven.com/zone5/cat196/15539.htm

for the
PseudoSam 18 Assembler, a RCA 1802 cross-assembler

for DOS.

Dear Clarence,

thank you for the answer. I have searched the internet
extensivly and know the PseudoSam 18 already. Since,
PseudoSam is neither RCA code syntax compatible, nor
supports macros, it is not suitable for me. I need to
use existing code for the CDP 1802.

In an assembler news group, I was told, that there are
the C-sources of an old RCA compatible 1802 assembler
for CP/M.

So I asked myself, where can I find the sources. Can I
port the sources to DOS, and if not, where do I get a
CP/M compiler and emulator for all that.

Can you help me somehow to find the sources?

Dear Herr Klöpfer;

Would this by any chance have anything to do
with BMW fuel injection systems?

I'm curious why you believe there is 'C' source for the assembler
you're seeking. The 1802 assemblers I had at my disposal back in the
'70's and '80s were written in assembler, in one case for the 6502 and
the other for the 8080. Neither of them supported macros.

I have the Avocet 1802 cross-assembler for CP/M-80 (runs on a CP/M
computer with 8080/8085/Z80 CPU, but generates code for the RCA 1802).
It that what you need? It is not strictly RCA mnemonic compatible, but a
little work with a word processor's search-and-replace can fix an RCA
assembler program so it will assemble correctly.
