COHERENT release 2.3.43 (8086) for the IBM PC is available.

Original implementation was for PDP-11, then ported to Z8000 and 68000.

Thank you Udo for making this version available.

Has anyone had success getting it to install using PCE [1]?
I have managed to boot the boot disk, partition a hard-drive and reboot the hard-drive for the next step, I see the splash screen:

appears, but then nothing further. If I inspect the CPU state, it appears to have stopped with IP=0020 perhaps waiting for an interrupt that never comes?

I had to add a third parallel port at 0x3BC for an error that appears during reboot complaining that address does not respond.

I will try again using PCem on Windows to see if that works any better.

Never mind, Hampa figured it out (thanks Hampa!), turns out the coh-2.3.43-boot.dsk image has two errant files in /tmp that need to be removed.
Once removed the install completes as expected.
