well, we all have days like that :)

>Tell me can I get this unix or BSD for free?
yes.
there are actualy TWO versions for free.
I recommend getting the FreeBSD version, but NetBSD would probably
do you as well. (There is also Linux, but hey I'm a BSD type)

you can get a CD from walnut creek cdrom
(in...@cdrom.com or sa...@cdrom.com I think)
also go to the newsgroups comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.announce anmd
comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc....
notice the sibling newsgroups for netbsd.
you can also get it off the net by ftp if you have enough bandwidth..
check out
http://www.freebsd.org/ and
ftp.freebsd.org

(also similar Netbsd versions )

the next 'release' of FreeBSD is 'imminant'.. look for 2.0.5

sounds just fine, but you'll fill up the 230 MB quickly :)

yo can run FreeBSD on 40 MB but you'll have to PRUNE to do so..
It would make a good xterm though and you can always NFSMOUNT
more space form the other system.

should work fine..
