I have a problem with the Adaptec 2842 driver (2.0 release and the
current 2.1 snapshot). After some time I get the following message:
ahc0: target 1, lun 0 (sd1) timed out Abort unsupported!!!
The message usually occures when working with multiple SCSI discs (i.e.
while installing the srcdist). I've installed the following SCSI
devices:
0: Quantum LPS 340 (internal), used for swap and /
1: IBM 662 (1 GByte,internal) used for /usr
2: NEC CD-ROM (CDR-37, (external)
5: Toshiba CD-ROM 4401 (internal)
I have the impression, that the error does not occur, when keeping
FreeBSD on 1 disc.
I'm really thinking about replacing the Adaptec with a Buslogic card.
Are these better ???
ciao
