2. HotPar '09: Once Invite-Only, This Workshop Is Now Open to All
The First USENIX Workshop on Hot Topics in Parallelism (HotPar '09) will
take place March 30-31, 2009, in Berkeley, CA. HotPar '09 will bring
together researchers and practitioners doing innovative work in the area
of parallel computing.
We are capping registration to ensure a workshop atmosphere. There are
just a few seats left, so please register soon. Also, if you would

4. Other Event of Interest: Middleware Call for Papers
The Call for Papers for the ACM/IFIP/USENIX 10th International
Middleware Conference is now available. Middleware 2009 will be the
premier event for middleware research and technology in 2009. The scope
of the conference is the design, implementation, deployment, and
evaluation of distributed system platforms and architectures for future
computing and communication environments. Highlights of the conference
will include a high-quality technical program, invited speakers, an
industrial track, poster and demo presentations, a doctoral symposium,
and workshops.
Submissions are due April 20, 2009.

5. Other Event of Interest: CEAS 2009 Call for Papers
The Call for Papers for the 6th Conference on Email and Anti-Spam
(CEAS 2009) is now available. The conference focuses on all aspects
of electronic communication, including email, instant messaging, text
messaging, and voice/video messaging. Topics of interest include
novel applications of electronic messaging, abatement of abuses of
electronic messaging, spam, spit (spam over internet telephony),
spim (spam over instant messenger), phishing, identity theft via
messaging, viruses, and spyware.
