GENERAL INFORMATION
IDEAL is an annual conference dedicated to emerging and challenging
topics in intelligent data analysis and engineering and their
associated learning paradigms. After successful recent events in
Burgos (2006), Brisbane (2005), Exeter (2004), Hong Kong (2003), and
Manchester (2002), IDEAL'07 will be held in the well-established,
vibrant midland city of England, Birmingham, the second largest city
in the UK.
IDEAL'07 will provide a stimulating forum for presenting and
discussing the latest theoretical advances and real-world applications
in Intelligent Data Engineering and Automated Learning.

The main themes of the conference are (but not limited to):
* LEARNING AND INFORMATION PROCESSING
* DATA MINING & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
* BIOINFORMATICS & NEUROINFORMATICS
* AGENTS & DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS
* FINANCIAL ENGINEERING AND MODELLING
PAPER SUBMISSION
All submissions will be refereed by experts in the field based on
originality, significance, quality and clarity. Accepted papers will
be included in IDEAL'07 Proceedings, to be published by Springer in
the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. Papers should not exceed
10 pages and should comply with the format of LNCS/LNAI proceedings
(see the Springer website for details). All manuscripts should be
submitted through the on-line submission systems, which is available
via the conference website.
IMPORTANT DATES
Submission of papers: 27th July 2007 (still open for submissions)
Notification of acceptance: 31st August 2007
Camera-ready papers due: 28th September 2007
Author registration due: 28th September 2007
