If you are interested in building project-specific processes (methods)
for acquiring, developing, operating, maintaining, and/or retiring
software-intensive systems, you should check out the OPEN Process
Framework (OPF) Repository, which is available at
www.donald-firesmith.com. This repository contains over 1,100 process
components including work products, work units (activities, tasks, and
techniques), and the different kinds of producers (organizations, teams,
roles, and tools) that produce the work products by performing the work
units.

The OPF Repository Organization is also looking for volunteers to help
us transition the repository from HTML to XML and develop tools to help
process engineers select and integrate appropriate components to build
endeavor specific methods. You may especially find this class library
of process components useful if you cannot afford commercial products
such as RUP or wish to use a larger, more complete repository.
