Equipment:
Desktop XP-SP2 hardwired to a Linksys WRT54G Wireless Router
Laptop XP-SP2 with Linksys WPC54G Wireless Adapter

The Router is configured to have WEP Security with 128 bit encryption
keys.

The first time I connected to the network with the laptop, I had to
enter the level of encryption, password and which one of the 4 keys to
use in order to gain access to the network. Just the way I wanted it
to act. However, each time there after, every time I turn on my
laptop, it connects to the network without asking for the security
stuff. The only exception is if I connect to another network since
last connecting to my network.

This concerns me because if I give permission to someone to access my
network and they don’t access another network before coming back
around to mine, they will get automatic connection to my network
without having to deal with the security inputs again.

How do I get this thing to ask for all the security inputs each and
every time someone, even me, petitions the network for access?

DW
