Is there a USB connector for MIDI interface? Believe that I will have to
resignn myself to the fact that there are few and far between Laptops
computers which have the GAME PORT on them (without a docking station) so
that I can hook up my Keyboard any time and any where.
I f any one has any information about laptops and MIDI work, please email
me.
Thanx:

There are indeed (very few yet) some USB MIDI interfaces on the market.

On the other hand, there are numerous MIDI interfaces that plug in the
parallel port and a few in the serial. We bundle a serial-port MIDI interface
(no power-adapter required) with our ShowPlay MIDI file player for musicians.
The interesting extra is that it also provides a footswitch jack that allows
playback control and paging through lyrics/tablatures (yes, ShowPlay supports
these and LOTS of other things).

For details see: http://sites.netscape.net/showplay/

The USB has had less than fireworsk reports so far, from these groups.

Go for parallel or serial port ones. I would prefer Paralle, from what
I have read, and use one (a MUsic Quest/Opcode 2 port SE) with no
apparent problems. There is one problem,...no WIn 98 drivers. The Win
95 ones seem to work OK fro me.
