The best memory manager (but also the trickiest to get running, though
robust once it was set up properly) was 386MAX. It -- like every other
commercial program of its kind -- was killed by windows but I usually got
50-100KB more with it than I could using memmangler.
Also, I vaguely remember that using the RAMDISK program that came with
DOS 3... you could set the drive letter to anything you wanted.
