Hello:

While trying to resolve a problem with my video settings, I lost the
capability to
start the "server" on my NT Workstation (*not* an NT server). I
therefore cannot share my files...

The server is set to start automatically but it fails.

Trying to start it manually gives me a "The specified module could not
be found."
error message.

I reloaded the server services, specifically microsoft peer-to-peer
services (I hope
this is the correct one). I re-applied service pack 6.

It is to no avail...

Any suggestions? What network protocol(s) is (are) needed to make the
"server" to work?

By the way, I am the administrator of the workstation.

Thanks!

First, the absolute minimum protocol to have when sharing is netbuei, if you
are sharing only between windows pc's, but you probably wanna have TCP/IP
installed anyway, for the net access(if you need it). Second, try removing
the server services from the network control panel app, then remove
workstation as well, then readd workstation. You may/may not need to add
the server service manually, but some installations automatically set it up
when you setup the workstation service. I hop this helps.
