We are second year computing students and are currently researching the way
people deal with faults including Hardware, Software, Network and Internet
related problems. There are two main areas of interest, which include the
perception of faults by non-technical computer users and the way faults are
diagnosed and logged by IT technical staff. This research will hopefully
develop a better understanding of the way IT related faults are dealt with
in the real world and perhaps show ways in which the communication of faults
between users and IT staff could be improved. To help us with this research
we need details of your experiences with IT related problems. So if you are
simply a computer user or an IT Manager we would be extremely grateful for
any information you may be able to give us.
