I dont have it in fron of me.. but basicaly from here you arrow key along to
the "partition to/from image"
TO image is the backup, FROM image is reloading from a backup.
Next you select the drive wher the partition is being backed up from .. then
choose the partition..
once done it then lets you decide WHERE your going to back it up to -- work
your way to the "ghost" folder.. then using the tab key.. work your way to
being able to type in a name for the backup.. "Cbckup" for example...
it actually is very simple and easy once you'v been through it...sorry this
is a little bit sketchy.. I 'm not currently on my home pc.. so if you
have any questions.. or would really really like a start to finish step by
step - drop me a note and I'l do that for you..
ps.. the one thing I usually always do prior to ghost backup.. is have a
clean"c" drive... get rid of all garbage files.. etc etc defrag.. then
backup.
Good choice.. and yep. if you have a good working pc at this point in time..
this backup wil eliminate any need to reinstall windows.. one final
note... KEEP this backup your going to do.. don't do like I did.. and as I
installed more n more software. I burned a few bridges behind me .. errors
arose and I didnt have the backup to return to.. this last time however.. I
do.. I got two backups.. one when win98 was fully installed and a few basics
like net connections etc etc .. hardware, and that backup I keep no matter
what.. the second one is as I progresively install all the software...
all the best for 2001
