Is it possible to install multiple instances (in my case: 2) of Windows 2000
Professional or Server on the same computer? I have a case where I have all
my applications and utilities installed on an instance of Windows 2000 -- my
original installation. I want to create a second instance where I can
install applications that I am testing or evaluating without affecting my
original installation.

* Can I install both instances to the same primary IDE drive, but
separate partitions?

* Can I install one instance to a partition on the PRIMARY IDE drive, and
a second instance to a partition on the SECONDARY IDE drive?

Thank you.

Yes. You'll just want to install them into separate directories.

Yes, too.

For either above, you'll just want to edit the Boot.ini file, and give the
entries different names, ie: Win2k Apps, Win2k Test, or whatever.
