Hi!

I would like to have users saving their office documents in their home
directories on the server. Here's the problem. Office 2000 has a default
directory...called personal on the local drive and saves all the files
there. I tried the knowledge base and tried the suggestion to changing the
default directory. It works but now it gives error messages saying
"%homedrive%%homepath%" not found...and path not valid. Any help with how
to get the directory working properly would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks

You may want to take a look at the %HOMESHARE% variable instead of the
combination. The problem you are experiencing is because the registry key is
of type REG_SZ. If you want it to parse variables, you need to delete it and
recreate a key with the same name of type REG_EXPAND_SZ.
