I want to backup my ADSL connection with an ISDN router.
I use an NT4 DHCP Server so i need to change the default gateway when ADSL
fails.
How can i change the DHCP Server Options using for example a batch script so
the users will only have to make a DHCP renew to change their gateway and to
use the ISDN Dial-up connection?

thanks

Merci

Best way I can thing of is setup two separate scopes, and only
activate one. When you need to make the change, disable the first, and
enable the second.
Don't know how to do this on one box with a batch file, but with two
DHCP servers, you can simply run "net start "Microsoft DHCP Server" in
a batch file to start the redundant one, and "net stop "microsoft DHCP
Server" on the failed one. From the client IPconfig /renew (NT/w2k
clients) or Winipcfg /renew (9x clients)

Even easier might be an inexpensive CISCO switch or something that
handles the routing for you. That way you wouldn't have to mess with
the clients.
