Q: What app adds a 2nd phone # with free unlimited USA WiFi calling/sms?
Besides Google offering and TextNow (and possibly a revamped Talkatone),
what's another good second-line app on iOS, for free unlimited USA phone
calls and SMS texting where the requirements are:
a. You are assigned a real phone number in your area code, which,
b. Can send & receive unlimited USA phone calls (including POTS), and,
c. Can send & recieve unlimited SMS texts (to/from cellular lines).
To be clear, this is a question only for a technically competent iOS user
who understands that mere VOIP isn't the same thing as what is being asked
here.
Q: What app adds a 2nd phone # with free unlimited USA WiFi calling/sms?
A1: TextNow (tested today)
A2: GoogleVoice+Hangouts+HangoutsDialer (tested yesterday)
A3: Talkatone (being tested as we speak)
A4: ? iOS ?

Please don't answer if you only know about VOIP unless that VOIP comes with
a phone number that can be used to communicate with POTS and SMS over
cellular data or wifi-connected networks.

These Android users came up with the following apps, all of which worked
also on iOS in my tests to give a mobile device a free first or second or
third USA phone number, free unlimited USA calls, & free unlimited sms
texting.

requirements, please let us know so we can test them out to be sure.
