This week, I replaced my old Philips 32PFL5625H/12 smart tv with another
model, 43PUS7855/12. With the previous model, I could cast my smartphone
(Google Pixel 3) to the tv without a problem, but the newer model isn't
found by my phone.
It appears the older model had a built-in (Google) Chromecast while the
newer model works with Miracast which isn't supported by my Pixel. It
seems I have to either root it OR buy a Google Chromecast. That's a
bummer. )-:
Funny thing: casting /is/ possible with the YouTube app...
