How does the default "Google Account" on an Android phone benefit you?
(That is, why not just wipe out the "Android Google Account"?)

This question is NOT about your "real" Google Account!
Assume the real email account is 0...@gmail.com
This question is about the *bogus* Google Android Account.
Assume the bogus Android Account is x...@gmail.com
(For most people they may be the same - but they are different beasts!)

It's important to first read this post so I don't need to repeat things:
What are the common settings to change on an Android 7.0 Nougat phone
<https://groups.google.com/d/msg/comp.mobile.android/b9Ck9JSyKXY/3YT_KurdAwAJ>
I outlined a potentially useful methodology that suggests people wipe out
(or ignore) the default Google Account that is typically set up on an
Android phone.

This unique no-Google-account methodology has advantages.
But what are the disadvantages?

Specifically, what do you lose on Android by not having a Google Account?

Here's what I know, offhand, that you lose:
o They can't track you by the Advertising ID
o You can't download apps from the Google Play App Store
o You can't subscribe on YouTube

Anything else?

Since anyone using an Android phone for a while already has all the APKs
they most need, and since you can sideload at any time, and since you can
share most free APKs among phones, I posit there should be (almost) no need
for a Google Play account after, oh, about a month or two (certainly not
after a year on Android).

Likewise, you can do _everything_ (and more) that the Google YouTube App
does using NewPipe freeware on Android, so that's not an issue either.

And you can _still_ enjoy the advantages of a Google Email Account, if you
use any MUA to access that account (where even the Gmail App or Google
Drive or Hangouts or Google Voice, or Google Calendar, etc., can all be set
for that secondary account of 0...@gmail.com - can't they?).

In short, I recommend a use model that I've employed for years, where I
don't see any disadvantages yet - and some major advantages.

The use model has certain advantages, which separates these two accounts:
o x...@gmail.com === this is the "bogus" Android Google Account
o 0...@gmail.com === this is your "real" Google Account (for desired Google Services)

What is the disadvantage of this use model of separating Google accounts?
