Error 553: sorry, your envelope sender is in my badmailfrom list (#5.7.1)

Several members of a Yahoo! Groups mail list to which I belong (and
for which I am one of the list moderators) are getting "soft bounce"
messages, as per the Subject of this posting.

Yahoo! Groups are saying it is not their problem, and the web hosting
company who seem to be hosting / processing most of the email accounts
which are being bounced by Yahoo! Groups with this error message is
saying that it is not their fault.

Please could somebody tell me what this error message actually means
and let me have any suggestions about how I might try to resolve this
problem?

It's an error message from qmail. The admin of the MTA which generated
that error put you on a "blacklist". Not much you can do about it
in sendmail...
