ECDH / tls invalid ecpointformat list

build of 8.14.4 or 8.14.7 sendmail with
openssl 1.0.1e
Solaris 8 on Sparc and Linux 2.6.37.6 (slackware)
I get 'tls invalid ecpointformat list' from a Solaris host connecting to smtp1.msp.securence.com until i add '-ECDH' to my CipherList. This isn't needed from the Linux build, No problems with any others it seems, gmail servers also ECDH it looks like.
CipherList looks like this ALL:!ADH:!NULL:!EXPORT56:RC4+RSA:+HIGH:+MEDIUM:-LOW:+SSLv3:+TLSv1:-SSLv2:-EXP:-eNULL
Any ideas out there? Points to something with Solaris / OpenSSL to me.
