553 5.3.5 somedomain.com.appended-domain.org. config error: mail loops

554 5.3.5 Local configuration error

From what I understand email was sent to st...@somedomain.com but my
system appended appended-domain.org a domain that I host. Of course
the name is different but you get the idea. I am wondering why it did
this. Mail is delivered fine to other addresses. But it just append
a domain i host to that outboud to field.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Scott

I saw this once, go to your sendmail.cf and there is a line like:
H?F?From:$?$x <$g>$|$g$
Change that to:
H?F?FROM <$g>
Then HUP sendmail.

You most likely have a wildcard MX record for your domain.
See cf/README about that.

Very bad advice in general, and can't possibly help with the OP's
problem.
