My company recently acquired another. We moved (created new) all of
their mail accounts to @mycompany.com. There will still be mail
addressed to @oldcompany.com floating around for a while, so I'd like
to set the oldcompany.com MX record to mailhost.mycompany.com which is
our normal mailserver. (We are running Sendmail 8.9.1)
On mailhost.mycompany.com, I'd like to translate their
old...@oldcompany.com to new...@mycompany.com for any mail still
addressed to the oldcompany.com domain. Of course I also have to make
mailhost.mycompany.com accept mail addressed to @oldcompany.com.
How does one do this?
HELP!

Before you buy.
Check out http://www.sendmail.org/virtual-hosting.html
IN your virtual user table, you could do entries like this:
old...@oldcompanydomain.com new...@newcompanydomain.com (or just the user
name on your server)
which would take mail from the olduid and place it in the appropriate
mailbox.
Also make sure you have both domains in sendmail.cw or whatever file you use
to specify which domains your server accepts email for.
Hope this helps.
