I have set up a Lotus Domino (R6) IMAP server, and I want to be able
to read e-mail via pine.

I have several mail Databases set up, one for me, and one for each
mailing list I have subscribed to. I have set all the mailing list
databases as public folders.

I can read my mail, and all the mailing lists via IMAP with mozilla,
and I have got pine to read my e-mail o.k., but I don't seam to be
able to see the 'Public folders' configured on the domino sevrer.

I have set pine up with 2 folder collections as follows.

folder-collections="My Folders" {192.168.2.3/user=${USER}}[], "Public
Folders" {192.168.2.3}"Public Folders"[]

Any ideas?

Configure the collections from the collections setup screen. Press M S L A
to get there. Remove the definitions above first.

Now enter the following data:

Nickname : Anything you like to call it
Server : 192.168.2.3
Path : /full/path/to/location/of/collection
View :

You may need to change the server definition above by

Server : 192.168.2.3/user=${USER}

if appropriate.

There's more information about setting up collections in my web page at

Thanks for the help.

I set up the folder collections as you described, and ended up with
the following in my .pinerc

folder-collections="My Folders" {192.168.2.3/user=${USER}}[],

"Public Folders" "{192.168.2.3}Public Folders\\[]"

I can now see the public folders, but unfortunatly I can't see the
Inbox for each. I can see drafts tho.

After reading you web page, I tryed setting up the following, which
seams to work.

feature-list=enable-incoming-folders

incoming-folders="List 1" "{192.168.2.3}Public Folders\List 1\Inbox",
"List 2" "{192.168.2.3}Public Folders\List 2\Inbox",
"List 3" "{192.168.2.3}Public Folders\List 3\Inbox",

Thanks for the help. I can now read everything.

That's a problem in Pine, not in the Lotus Server. I can't reproduce this
because pine does not recognize the function keys of my keyboard :((((!
You should submit a bug report and a trace using gdb or dbx. That would be
very useful.

I can reproduce this. After deleteing an e-mail in notes, and emptying
the trash, pine will crash if I try to scroll down the list of
e-mails.

What do you need to know? and how can I help to fix this?

You don't understand. No matter how bad the input for Pine is (and for
that matter for any program) Pine MUST never crash. That the Lotus server
has a bug is irrelevant, the program crashing is Pine, and it should be
fixed.

I agree that Lotus should fix their server too if they have bugs, but
that's another story.
