In Pine the NNTP server used for posting messages is separated
from the NNTP server used for accessing messages. (This is
analogous to the SMTP server/IMAP server separation in the email
world.)
To try to figure out why this is happening, go to MSC (Main >
Setup > Config) and look at this setting:
nntp-server
My recommendation is to leave that unset, i.e., <No Value Set>.
To remove the setting that is there, type:
D
which means Delete Value.
To specify your outgoing NNTP server, do one of the following:
* specify the nntp-server variable in the role that you use for
posting to the NNTP server
* set the predict-nntp-server feature
You might also want to set Pine up to enable-multiple-newsrcs. I
recommend doing this even if you access only one NNTP server.
