Hi, how do I configure pine so it'd save foreign

language mails (not attached) properly. Now whenever

I save a foreign language mail to local Unix disk,

all I get is a file containing symbols like:

=64=78=98 etc.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
JC

That's an encoding of characters that do not conform to 7bit ascii and it
has nothing to do with Pine, Pine is just saving what it got. You need a
tool that will transform "Quoted Printable" encoding to ascii, maybe Pine
could do such conversion, but I don't think it's a priority for the Pien
team, in any case.

Does someone know if there is any shell/perls script that will do this
job?

There is a difference between saving the mail message and saving the
text of the message. The latter you do the same way as you would
save an attachment. Select ViewAttch and then Save.
