It has come to my attention recently that some mails I've been sending out have lost some spaces and words are run together. I am using ALPINE 2.01(1266).

For example, here is a paragraph from an original mail I received:

The IMBD is an international program that aims to promote greater
understanding and appreciation of the importance of migratory birds in
North, Central and South America.

And here is what showed up in the received mail (after I forwarded it):

The IMBD is an international program that aims to promote greater
understandingand appreciation of the importance of migratory birds in North,
Central andSouth America.

Here is how it looked in the composing mail:

The IMBD is an international program that aims to promote greater understanding
and appreciation of the importance of migratory birds in North, Central and
South America.

How can I make it stop running the last word of a line and the first word of the next line together when the mail is received?

Thanks.

I did some experimenting and see that it does not happen with all emails which are forwarded. I am aware of emails from one individual in which this happens - but this person's emails are ones I need to frequently forward.

Please stop using google groups. It sticks in a blank extra line after
every line of the text in the forwarded mail. This make the stuff
unreadable. See below. (and if you reply to this, each line will get an
extra blank, making some of the paragraph spaces 8 blank lines long, and
with three blank lines between every line of text, and then double that,
etc. Or I think there is a way of telling googlegroups to use the old
style formatting.

You do not say what operating system you and your collegue are using. It
sounds like a problem with the line ending (carriage return, line feed,
or both in some order).
