FIRST INTERNATIONAL JAZZ WORKSHOP

University of Management and Design jointly with PF “Central Asian -
Arts Management” organizes first International Jazz Workshop in
Central Asia. Workshop will take place between 24th and 30th April
2010 during popular Bishkek International Spring Jazz Festival in
Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
UMD will be pleased to host professional, semi professional, amateur
Jazz performers as well as music lovers in the very center of Central
Asia.
FIRST INTERNATIONAL JAZZ WORKSHOP explores aspects of Central Asian
jazz and ethnic music forms with nomadic Kyrgyz culture and society
together with the distinguished musicians of Central Asian region.
The musical workshop program establishes a ground for gathering the
professional, semi professional and amateur musicians as well as music
lovers for introducing them Central Asian music and giving them an
opportunity to practice music together.
The Jazz workshop provides the participants with opportunities for
examining all walks of music, such as traditional and modern as well
as jazz and classical. Workshops are coupled with jam sessions,
visits, excursions, feeling the nature of Central Asia and enjoying
nomadic lifestyle and a capital town life in Central Asia.
Workshops will be given by internationally known musicians of Central
Asia.
