Does anyone know if there is any way of making IE4 use PC-Pine for its
emailer? At the moment whenever I click on a <mailto:> tag, I get Outlook
Express, when I'd rather have my normal mailer.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

David.

PS. When is PC-Pine 4 due for release?

Good luck. Since PC-Pine wasn't written by Micro$oft, they don't want
you to use it.

Well you could try to use regedit to change the following key (this is
the default values saved from regedit):

***************************************************************
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command]
@="\"C:\\PROGRAMMER\\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\\MSIMN.EXE\" /mailurl:%1"
***************************************************************

The %1 argument will be expanded to the full mailto URL (including
mailto:) and so you will need some wrapper program around pine, say a VB
program.
