Filter deleting messages to default account. Pegasus & Mercury/32

I use Pegasus 3.12b under Win NT and Mercury/32 3.01a .

For a couple of months (I think since upgrading Mercury) I've noticed
that some messages I receive are routed to the default user account
(postmaster) but then a message appears in the core process screen of
Mercury indicating that the message has been deleted by a filter.
This doesn't appear to happen to all messages sent to the postmaster
as some are forwarded to other users.

I've reviewed both global & individual user filters and I can't see
any that delete messages. (Strange messages are put in quarantine &
manually deleted if not mis-addressed.) I've switched off all filters
on the postmaster account but still the messages are being deleted.
I've tried collecting mail without Mercury to try & identify the type
of messages being destroyed, but all without success. I only get a
message like this once a week/10 days hence the time taken to get this
far.

What am I missing? How can I get these messages delivered?
