Is there something odd about Compuserve email that corrupts uuencoded
files coming in from the internet? I tried it several ways but the
file got corrupted every time. Is there a way to send binaries to a
Compuserve account?

If this is the wrong place to post this, my apologies and can someone
point me to the right one?

You may have been bitten by a message length limit on compuserve. Try
splitting your transmission into 50k chunks.
