A question about importing and exporting mail to and from TheBat. I'd
like to try that programme out, but I can't get it to import my Eudora
mail. It has several import options, but only from different types of
files (mbs and Unix) than the ones Eudora uses. Then it has an import
wizzard, but that doesn't have any effect. Does the import wizzard know
how to import from Eudora only the mail that's in Eudora's own
directory? I.e. doesn't it work if you've specified a separate
directory, as I have?

And does that mean that the only way to get my mail into TheBat is to
have Outlook Express import it first, and then import it into TheBat
from there?

Secondly, suppose I want to import mail from TheBat into Eudora. Do I
have to use the intermediate stage of Outlook Express *again*? Because
Eudora's import wizzard only gives me the option to import mail from OE.

They do make things easier for people, don't they?

Right, simple. Eudora stores mail un Unix mailbox format. Look for the
.mbx files and these are the ones to import using the Unix option,

Export to said Unix MBX files and dump them in Eudoras mail directory.

Actually yes <G>

So far the Bat looks impressive in the way it works, it just does not
look quite as slick as Eudora.
