hi

I am using Linux, sendmail, qpopper-4.0.5 and Eudora 6.2. When I try to
download my email I see the following error in /var/log/maillog

Dec 8 09:52:08 blr ipop3d[1140]: Command stream end of file while
reading line user=??? host=blr.indiainfo.com [203.200.50.241]

I am sure this has nothing to do with sendmail but I am hoping some
experts can guide me how to fix this problem. It was working fine till
yesterday. Others are able to download their email using Eudora,
Outlook etc

regards

"ipop3d" is not qpopper. It's a component of imapd. This is a
common imapd message. Presumably it happens when the client
disconnects prematurely.

I have a user who fills our logs with this message while using an
imap client. It does not seem to interfere with his reading email.

Sorry about giving the wrong data [qpopper]. I should have known
better. But I don't know how to solve the problem.

Is there some latest version of ipop3d I should be actually using? This
error does interfere in downloading the email in Eudora :-(

I guess http://www.washington.edu/imap/IMAP-FAQs/index.html#7.41 is the
solution for the problem I am having.
