Singlw click to open mailboxes and auto close of mail boxes

Hi

I have just recently switched to Eudora from OE. Eudora seems like a
fine programme, but I would like it to behave more like OE (except for
the security risks, of course).

Is it possible to make Eudora open a mailbox when I make a single
click in the left pane?

Also I don't like the idea of constantly having to close all the
mailboxes that I have opened. It there a way to limit the number of
open mail boxes and mails or is it possible to make Eudora close a
mail box automatically when I open another one?

No, only toolbar buttons give one click access. You can create a toolbar
with buttons for each mailbox if you so whish, but the names of the
mailboxes will only be displayed in the tools tips.

Try Tools | Options | Mailboxes. Check "Close messages with mailbox."
