If you have version 7.1.0.9, select Help > About Eudora and click the
"Data" link at the bottom of the window that opened. Windows Explorer
opens with your Data directory selected.
Find the eudora.ini file and in the [Settings] section enter PopPort=
995.
You can also do it by adding a "Ports" panel to your Options menu by
copying the file esoteric.epi from the Extrastuff subdirectory one
level up to the Program directory (where you have eudora.exe) and
making the change in that panel.

If the nature of the "problem" and its suggested solution were elaborated,
including mention of the ISP you are using,
more help towards the actual goal might be offered.
Supplying more information than needed is harmless,
but supplying less than is needed often leads to nowhere useful.

If you mean that the ISP offers a secure (SSL) option
for email download via POP, using standard port 995,
you simply select "Required, Alternate Port"
in the "Secure Sockets when Receiving" setting.
This basically bypasses the anti-virus program's screening,
which is also generally achievable by turning off screening
in the anti-virus client.
