Trouble Logging in to Download Mail

The last couple of morning attempts to login to my two ISPs to
download mail have lasted for a couple of minutes; then Eudora gives
up & reports it was "tired of waiting". A repeat attempt then, is
successful...this is occurring with both my ISPs (AT&T and
Concentric), which leads me to suspect a possible Eudora problem.

Let your computer finish starting up, before checking mail.
It's just too "busy" at the time.

I'd add, particularly, if using dial-up. Even with Comcast, antivirus
and Window's updates can tie things up for a few minutes.
