i checked the send mail settings and they appear to be correct...smtp
set at ma...@execulink.com and that has never been changed to my
knowledge since i am the only person in my house...therefore the only
person to use the computer.

any other suggestions?

In article <3A560810...@execulink.com>, tell...@execulink.com says...

Which ISP are you logged on to?
What is your mail server configured to?

You must logon to the ISP you wish to send through.

Logon to the ISP where your SMTP / return address is configured to.

You are *probably* connected to one ISP with your mail server or
return address configured to another, this is a common anti-spam
preventative by ISP's to keep unathorized users from using their
mail servers to distribute SPAM.

You are logged onto one service and trying to send via another. This is
rarely permitted anymore.

The message is from your SMTP server, not the mail client.

Neither (see above). And this is *not* a company forum.

With that attitude you're lucky people don't just hang up on you and
then have a laugh with their colleagues.
