You can download different versions of Eudora at:

You can--FOR FREE--convert Eudora 5.2 into "Paid Mode" using the
information at: http://www.eudora.com/techsupport/kb/2759hq.html
My experience is that once you have a registration code for one
version of Eudora, you can use that code to obtain "Paid Mode" in any
earlier version. I know that doesn't help one who is trying to
"upgrade", but, when I paid for version 7.1.0.9, I was able to
download, install and use version 6.2.5.6 in "Paid Mode".

Thanks and credit to John H Meyers for providing me with the second
link above as a result of my earlier inquiry.

This URL says (among other things), "Note: Eudora 7.1 will not run on
Microsoft Windows 98 or ME." This is patently false. The manual that
comes with 7.1 says requirements are Win 98/ME/XP/2000 and it runs
fine on my ME machine.
You are correct. version 7.1 also runs fine on my Windows 98 machine.
