How to I enter special characters eg. french/spanish etc. accented vowels
etc available from the ASCII set with ALT-nnn? I think, Eudora has a
different input system?

Unless your note was a typo, don't forget it is Alt-nnnn. Don't forget
the leading zero.

The 4-digit numbers with leading zero are NOT the same as the 3-digit
ones. Go to Windows' Character Map and highlight the character(s) you
want and look down the bottom right corner for the 4-digit code. Make
sure the font in Character Map is the same as the one you are using in
Eudora.
