I just loaded Eudora 4.0 on to my Laptop - is there a way to import the
address book from my desktop Eudora program? Also can I create a txt
version of the address book other than going through piecemeal and copying
each enrty to a word processor?

Thanks for any help,

Copy *.MBX, *.TOC, & *.TXT from your desktop machine onto a floppy, then
copy them into the Eudora folder on your laptop.

Your Address Book *is* a text file. The Address Book consists of
nndbase.txt and nndbase.toc.

In article <6vivjs$a...@mochi.lava.net>, dg...@lava.net says...

Address Book:
=============
Should be 3 files total. These files are located in the *EUDORA*
directory.

Address Book:
1. NNDBASE.TOC - Address Book Table of Contents
2. NNDBASE.TXT - Address Book

Recipient List:
3. RCPDBASE.TXT - Quick Recipient List

Plus, for Eudora Pro 2.x+ versions, whatever is in the *NICKNAME*
directory.

And... possibly anything you may have in the ExtraNicknameDirs directory
if you defined this in the EUDORA.INI file.

For printing try:
Tony Greene's Address Book to HTML converter

The nndbase.txt file is text, have a look with your favorite text editor.
