Getting an error message "ERR messages are counted from 1"

I am getting the following error message after recently doubling the storage capacity of my e-mail on Network Solutions account. I have numerous Persona's in Eudora 7.1.

I doubled my e-mail storage for my personal Persona when the mailbox reached capacity...actually over capacity.

Since doubling my storage last week, I have been getting this message from Eudora for this particular Persona when checking mail. The messages are in the POP3 server but are not being downloaded.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Also, I can send e-mails from this Persona without issues.

Dennis,

I do leave the mail on the server. In this case I was overseas for an extended amount of time and I had large engineering documents e-mailed to me. hence the need to increase the mailbox size. (One of the nice feature of Eudora that no one else seems to have, is that I can retain my e-mails on the server and retrieve them on my home business computer when i return.)

The personality with the issue is the one labeled dominant in Eudora. I tried deleting LMOS.dat (Actually, I renamed it!), but I am not sure if I modified the correct one. The issue still remains.

The file I modified/deleted is the LMOS.dat in the \Qualcomm\Eudora directory. Is that the correct one?

The directory \Qualcomm\Eudora\spool contains all the other personalities I have (past & present ... some 25 years since Eudora 1.x). I do not see a listing for the dominant personality in this directory.

Am I looking in the right place?

The dominant personality is probably in ...\eudora.

I have only one other personality**, from another ISP, and that has a
subdirectory in Spools, which is under eudora.

**(though I have a lot of email addresses and used to have filters set
up to reply to each address with a matching from- address)

OK, I called the ISP and they forgot to "refresh" the mailbox when they increased my storage. Network Solutions in case anyone is wondering, but the person did know exactly what to do!! Amazing!!, and she is a loyal Eudora user herself still searching for an adequate replacement! ;-)

I did not do anything to increase storage but I went to networksolutions.com and logged in to my account. I then went to live chat and asked for my mailbox to be reset. Had to give last name and city of birth (security question) and the guy, Don, seemed to know what I wanted and he refreshed my mailbox and it is working again!
