I'm using Eudora 4.2. One of my customers receives orders from his
e-commerce sites at various email accounts and I get copies sent to me
for security.
He has asked me send him a weekly count of orders received at each
mailbox. I can't find any way to do this other than manually counting
the headers between the relevant start and stop dates.
When viewing the list of headers, it would be nice if I could select a
message header at the start date and Eudora would say to me " This is
message number 1279, of 5494 messages in this folder, and similar for
the stop date. Or something like that.
Any newer version of Eudora offer anything that would help.
Al Moodie.
The lower left-hand corner of the mailbox can tell you how many email are
in the box. There are three numbers, e.g. 3/15K/0K. The first one is the
number of emails in the mailbox.

Yes. Upgrading to a newer version gives you the opportunity to add the
following line to eudora.ini ShowSelectedSummarycount=1 You can do
that with an X-Eudora-Option:
<X-Eudora-Option:ShowSelectedSummarycount=1>
That adds a fourth number to the 3 you already see in the left bottom
corner. (actually it will be the first one of the four).
You select the first and last messages, while holding down shift, and
Eudora will do the counting.
