Mailbox windows open small

I should have known better, but one cannot keep putting off OSX upgrades
and security updates. :-(

A week ago, I decided to catch up on all the updates for my iMac with
Leopard. So I installed 10.5.8Combo and all others that Software Update
showed as needed.

Since then, whenever Eudora 6.2.4 opens a mailbox window, it appears at
the top LHS of the screen just below the menu bar with three lines and
only showing up to the Date column. In the past, mailboxes opened to the
size they had been and the same position as when they were last closed.

Also, the Task Progress window appears in the top LH, but only a half
inch square.

I have a vague recollection of reading about this - perhaps years ago -
but cannot find the item.

I would be grateful for any suggestions to fix this.....

Just discovered this in teh colsole log:

The values of CFBundleTypeRole entries must be 'Editor', 'Viewer',
'None', or 'Shell'.

Seems like the plist file might have become damaged....

Then it wouldn't hurt to delete it. It'll get rebuilt anyway. And for
most any application it's a good way to fix some problems you may be
experiencing.
