Is it possible to set up Eudora to check Hotmail account? I know you
can do it with outlook on the PC, but I can't see how to do it on my Mac
at home....
Thanks in advance,
jon

Eudora can check POP3 or IMAP mailboxes, whomever is hosting them.
Hotmail uses neither protocol. (Microsoft owns Hotmail and Outlook
Express.)

Last time I checked (quite a long time ago, I admit), Hotmail
offered POP mail as an option - though you had to pay for it.

Why on Earth would want to use Hotmail? Do you realize that those guys
at Microsoft have configured hotmail to send 13 ( that's right
Thirteen) cookies to your hard drive? Some of which, will reside there
for forty years? It is intrusive, and whether you want to believe it
or not, despite the current success of Gates and his plagiarizing
mob,all of whom should be in Fedral Pens, if there were any justice in
the DOJ, the wave of the future is open platform communication, and it
won't be long before MS and Toshiba, and all the rest of the
hyper-proprietsry code jeks will be laughed right out of the pond. Wait
and see. But use Hotmail? Never
