Printing msgs without headers, titles etc.

Eudora to change the Print settings, so that you can print messages
without all the headers, and also without a title (message summary) and
footer ("Printed for John Law" etc.) to each page of the printout.
It's years since I used this facility, but now I want to re-configure my
print settings: I can't find any reference to it anywhere in Eudora --
not even in the X-Settings documentation I've got.
Is it -- was it ever -- possible?
Eudora for Mac 6.2.4, freebie version (with ads); Mac OSX 10.3.9

You can select the text that you do want to print, then hold down the
shift key while you select the menu item File | Print Selection. I
can't remember if that also prints with the title and footer, or how to
get rid of the title and footer, but I'm sure I've read here that it can
be done. I can't find it in the X-Settings either, so you might Google
for information on that or check the full manual.

Not according to the manual.
You can select a part of the message, hold down the shift key and then
go Cmd-P, or select 'Print selection' from the menu; that way you don't
get the headers. But I haven't found a way to avoid the 'from' and
'Printed for' title bars.
The easiest workaround is to select what you want from the mail and copy
and paste into a word processor. As workarounds go, it's very easy, but
not that neat. And if you're using format=flowed, it doesn't seem to
copy the quote bars whereas 'print selection' from Eudora does it
correctly.

Thanks all, OP here -- Yes, I was referring to an option for omitting
headers, and a different option for omitting titles, footers, etc. I was
sure I'd had such options in the past ... but since I've used Eudora for
about 15 years, "the past" merges into a fog.
It seems there's no such option, so thanks a lot.
Yes, I was already aware of the "Select text - SHIFT-Command-P" option
(very useful indeed at times).

Even more specifically, what I do quite frequently is save a whole
thread from Newswatcher (which I use _a lot_). I can then use an
ancient application from R Shapiro called Mailconverter (FAT [remember
that?]) 2.2.4 which converts saved Usenet messages into a mailbox
format suitable for Eudora.
I then have a mail folder, which is a permanent record of a news thread,
and can be stored with my mail.
Sometimes, I'd like to print out all those messages in order to give
them to a relative or friend [who knows nothing about Usenet News, or
Eudora, or even, sometimes, email].
*That's* when I want to print a load of messages without new pages,
headers, footers, titles, etc.
Looks like I have a lot of editing on my hands, whenever I want to do
the above!

How about selecting a group of messages
and starting a "reply" or "reply all"
(with "Generate multiple messages on Reply" turned on);
would this create one single message containing
all those selected, and then permit printing that one message?
(of course you would discard it after printing and not send it).
If the messages are plain text (not html) then the desired
collection of messages might also be copied to a "dummy" mailbox,
then the entire "dummy" mailbox file might be printed "offline"
as plain text, which would retain more header info per message.

I missed the start of this thread so it may have already been suggested,
but if you select a number of messages, select Save As from the File
menu, then uncheck the "Include headers" check box, you end up with a
text file with no headers and no page breaks. You can then print this as
required.
