I forwarded it to a friend, and the images came up as attachments to the
message I was sending.
She would prefer them to be as part of the body and asked me to send it
again that way.
How do I do that?

Send e-mail to the Reply-To address.
Mail to the From address is never read.

I think the way I got round this - and it's not an ideal solution - was
to redirect the email rather than forward it. This means it goes through
the way it was sent to you, but it also means if your friend hits reply,
the reply will go to the original sender.
I could be wrong on this, but I think it sometimes too it can be
affected by the way the email program of the person you're forwarding
the email to interprets forwarded data. That definitely varies.

I believe it's possible to choose Redirect, then edit the From: field to
be you yourself before sending.

What happens when you start off with "Redirect" and then,
without sending, perform a "Send again" on that (unsent) message?

Thanks. I'll try that.

Yes, I think the recipient's email program will affect how it is
received. But I know that forwarding did change the images into
attachments.
I've followed your advice and we'll see what she ggets.
