I've just got a Linksys wireless base station for my mix of Macs and
PCs... for now, it's set up with encryption turned off.

I've got an Airport card in my iBook, and once I figured out how to
turn it on using OS X's Network system preference, and the Internet
Connect utility, it connected quite happily and seems to work fine.

I want to turn encryption on in the base station, however... and am
not sure what this will do to the Airport card, and I'm hesitant to
just try it and see.

I've checked the Airport Help file, and the Airport Configuration
Utility-- both refer to Apple's flying-saucer Airport Base Station,
but don't seem to offer any information about the use of the Airport
card itself.

Is there a way to turn encryption on in the Airport card-- or will it
auto-sense when WEP encryption is enabled, and ask me for the WEP key?
