1- Does anyone know of an http debugger I can use to see what the
conversation is between the Mac browsers and the web server?
2- Do Mac browsers have issues with a '\' in a URL (served from the
server), eg 'blah\Login.asp' vs 'blah/Login.asp'?
Background/Details:
I'll refer to the secure site as MVP.
On G3 Mac:
- IE 5.1.4 (2231)
- General web access OK.
- general websites (http) okay
- MVP secure website/page no go:
"HTTP error: The resource is not found." "...link is outdated,
inaccurate, or server instructed not to let you have it."
(Will check that https is set in the proxy settings.)
On G4 Mac:
- Netscape 6 (6.2.2)
- Get an encrypted page message box (as according to preferences
setting for this)
- Gets to initial MVP login page
- Slowly gets to actual login page (form previous page's link)
- Get the encrypted page message box
- After entering login code and password, new window/page hangs on
the "Finance Online Plus is now loading. Please wait..." page. Status
bar says 'Document: Done (7.5 secs), which varies (7.5/8.5/26.9 secs).
(But, I think the document done relates to the message page (now
loading).)
- Tried again with OCSP turned ON - same problem.
- Tried at low security settins/zone - same problem
- Checked settings (Netscape | Preferences):
o Privacy & Security:
* SSL: ,/ Enable SSL v2
,/ Enable SSL v3
,/ Enable TSL
o SSL Warnings:
Alert on... ,/ Loading a page with Encryption
./ Viewing mixed (encryption/no encryption)
- IE 5.1 (for mac) (5.1.4 (4415.2))
- "Error: A connection failure has occurred."
- Tried at low security settins/zone - same problem
- Tried unticking "Restrict access to non-Java class files" - same
prob
- Can't even get to the initial (https) login page.
Thanks for any help on this.
Regards,
Litening.
